More Facts About Frogs

A tree frog can change colors to match what it is on. That is called camouflage.

A frog has teeth in its upper jaw and on the roof of its mouth.

Some animals molt, which means they shed their skin. They do this because they are growing bigger.

When a frog molts, it pulls its old skin off with its teeth. New skin is already on him. Sometimes he eats the skin.

The frog cannot drink water with its mouth. Water goes through its skin.

When a tadpole begins to be a frog, the gills disappear and it gets lungs.
